Yup, I'd agree with others here that if you don't like it, then don't put it on. Hit the color chip books and find something you like, even if it is off another make of car. The advantage of doing that over mixing a custom color is that it will be easier to get paint made later should you ever need touch ups. If you get a custom mix, which will gaurantee you get the shade you want, then you have to maintian very good records to ensure any future mixes use the exact same formula.

ragtopchally, That color is awesome.. but it is a ***** to spray. My friend Dave sprayed one similar to that in Pearl Yellow on a Lamborgini kit car another friend built....it was a three stage paint and was very labor intensive. Came out awesome though..

I am not overly concerned with resale.. I just dont want to be ignorant of it. I plan to keep the car - especially after how much work I have put into it.

I just finished spraying a test panel of the Aero Blue Pearl.. came out great! We might have a winner! I will keep you guy posted... if this doesnt work out I might give Antracite a try.

.....orange wasn't on your "want list", but what about HOK "Kandy Tangelo".....I had one of my Prowlers painted this color and it gets more comments, all positive, than I would have ever imagined....I was going for a "modern" Vitamin C Orange.....it would look really good on your E body....I have seen it on a couple of CUDAS and they are stunning...I took the Prowler to Woodward the last 2 years and it draws a huge crowd....

Daytona, You are right that color really pops. I have never had a car color evoke my sense of smell, but I could have swore that I smelled tangerines when I seen that. Glad it wasn't doo-doo brown or baby crap yellow. :faint:

I like seeing cars that are different-- they can stand out from the crowd. After looking at so many plum crazy-sublime-ect cars having one of a non mopar color could still look pretty cool and not hurt the resale value.
  :iagree:
I'd love to see more mopars painted with some of the newer colors they have now.
It's your car paint it the color you like the best.

There are a lot of nice blues close to B5 but with more pearl/deeper etc. that look real nice.

:2thumbs: If you want a blue you might want to consider Intense Blue Pearl, my 72 RR wannabe is that shade and Nick's (74 Chally ) is the same, it really sparkles in the sun, I'd say it was "related" (close) to B5 but with some pizazz. It is also very close to crcarch's Chally, just look at this month's car in the c-c.c calendar............beautiful and BTW, the most artistic pic in the calendar IMO.  :2cents:  :2thumbs:

I painted my Barracuda Nissan Apple Pearl Green instead of Lime Light. Got lot of good response on the colour!  :)

That Blue on the &4 is the ****s as far as Blues go, If I were going to paint a car blue that would the one for sure. This thread makes you realize why they cam out wit the paints that change color depending on lighting - That guy just couldn't decide what color to paint his car.
