CP,

Not sure how the wife would feel about you breaking into the house, but if you break into the garage, I'll make sure you're real comfortable and have plenty to keep you from getting bored.

There is a very simple method that may stop most illegal immigration.
Congress needs to pass the following law.
Tell all illegal immigrants who are here right now, that they have one year to register for legal immigration status.  Any illegal immigrants who are found to have a felony record must be deport and banned from applying for legal status for ten years.  If you are caught in the US after the year grace period, and/or have felled to file for legal immigration you be deported and banned from applying for legal status for five years.
Then, starting immediately let them know that anyone entering into the US illegally will be banned for life from seeking legal immigration into the US.  Anyone caught illegally entering into the US would also be required to give finger prints and a DNA sample, that will be used when someone applies for legal immigration status.

You need to make the penalty tough enough form them to think twice before entering the US.

one part that I disagree with is the part where the implication is the only law they break is when they come across the border (breaking into the house).
The fact is many are breaking our laws regularly by committing all types of crimes.
Fact: 1/3 of the inmates in California's overflowing prisons are illegals...and they weren't arrested for imigration violations.

the other big lie is they are just here to pick lettuce...and we don't want to pay $4.00 for a head of lettuce, do we?
fact is they are undercutting the residents here by doing jobs that a guy used to be able to buy a home
and raise a family doing: Carpentry, roofing, framing, concrete work, tile, etc.etc.etc.

And just wait when they propose amnesty (again), it'll makes anyone that jumps all of the hurdles of legal immigration feel like a chump.

And neither the Demicans or the Republicrats are gonna do a thing about it 'cuz they want their votes if/when they become citizens. We're screwed.
Wait till they have enough people to vote in their old way of life...corrupt government workers from the police on up.
I repeat..we're screwed. :walkaway:

The only thing that would really work would be to make the penalty for hiring these law-breakers so stiff that no one would do it.  I would ( politicians wouldn't ) make the penalty for knowingly hiring an illegal the same as for being one, deportation.  Dump both of them across whatever boarder they came from and wish them good luck.

I agree. As long as Major corporations are giving them jobs they'll keep coming.
And you really can't blame them.

And while we're at it, let's get rid of all the spineless politicians who are letting this great country slowly slide into the muck.

One of the common arguements in favor of illegals is the one saying that they will do work that other Americans won't do, and do it cheaper.  I could do work a lot cheaper too if I didn't pay for my own insurance, pay taxes, pay for my medical costs, pay for my kids education, had the government subsidize my whole friggin life and had 15 people living with me splitting the cost of everything.  But, because I am a law abiding American and pay for all this stuff that I AM RESPONSIBLE for, I can't make it working for the cheap.  Sorry, but that's how I see it.  IF they are ILLEGAL, send their a$$ back to where they came from....    :2cents:    :cooldancing:

Oh yeah, remember I am running in '08......   lol

Two-dollars an hour in the US is better than fifty-cents and a beatin' at the end of the day in Mexico.

For Who? We keep it up and our way of life here will be more and more like a 3rd world country.

Sad that their country sucks to live in compared to the U.S., but who's fault is that?

Think of the U.S. like a lifeboat with capacity and provisions for "X" amount of people. This lifeboat is surrounded by seas swarming with drowning people.

No matter how compasionate you are, common sense says there is a limit and if you try and save them all,
not only will they still drown...the people in the boat will drown also. :2cents:+ :2cents:
