Interesting. So, does a factory 1970 interior have a black interior with only the seats in orange or the entire interior is burnt orange?
That seat is from my brother's 70 Barracuda GC. The entire interior was burnt orange.

Hemiken:

Thanks for the great pics. Especially that first one, it's the best looking Cuda I've ever seen.  Oh wait, that's my car sitting in Dexter's showroom before I bought it!

It'll be interesting to see if anyone comes up with a pic of a 71 that doesn't have a hemi orange exterior.

Ja (Fred):  I think Legendary is wrong.  Here's why:

The picture on Legendary's website shows the artists' rendition of the orange/black seats that appeared in the Dealer Order Code manual for 1971.  That rendition is for a Gran Coupe.  The irony is it states in that manual in multiple places that the orange/black-vinyl/cloth interior was only available on Barracudas and Cudas, not Gran Coupes.  You could get the black/black-cloth/vinyl seats on any of the three trim lines.  That fact is reiterated in the 1971 Barracuda sales brochure.  It also shows a real picture of the black/black-cloth/vinyl seats, and they have the cloth headrests.  So Legendary's website shows an artists' rendition of an interior that wasn't even available.

2) The only three H5XV Barracuda's I've ever seen in person or in magazines (yours, mine, and the cover car on the April 1990 Moperformance For The Chrysler Car Enthusiast magazine) all have the cloth headrests.  As stated above, the picture in the sales brochure of the black version also has cloth inserts.  So that makes it cloth headrests 4, vinyl headrests 0 for verified examples.

My guess is the artists' rendition was wrong or a change was made by the design studio before production began and they couldn't fix the Dealer Code Manual in time.  My opinion is Legendary has never seen a set in person and they are going off that bogus artists' rendition.  There is no information in the Dealer Code Manual about optional headrest material.  I've learned never to say never with Mopars so it is possible that a change was made during production, but even so that isn't what you have.  Legendary advertises that they are doing custom work now, so there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to make the covers just as they are in your vehicle.  Especially if you send them yours to use as a pattern.  Call them back and ask.  I think what we have is much better looking than the sales drawing.

Did you order new seat foams also?  Note that the pattern on our seats is slightly different than a stock vinyl Cuda seat as we have a depression between the seat back and headrest.  If you got covers without the cloth headrests and use your old foams they may not fit right.

Gran Coupes were not available with H5 interiors. They received a premium version coded P5. According to the 1971 Trim Selector the P5 interior was only available in black. So Gran Coupes could only get cloth and vinyl interiors in P5X9 while the Cuda and Barracuda could get H5X9 or H5XV.

The illustration in the trim selector of the orange cloth & vinyl mentions that the door panel is from a Gran Coupe. I believe that they point this out because it is an error in the drawing. Damn artists. ;)

Every orange interior I have seen looks like the ones Hemiken posted. The cloth & vinyl seats have cloth inserts in the headrests on both the H5X9 and H5XV. I don't think I've ever seen a P5X9 interior so I don't know about the headrests, but even if they were vinyl there was NO P5XV unless it was added midyear (doubtful).

Thanks to Barry, now we can all see the artists' rendition of the seats that are missing the cloth checkerboard headrest inserts:
