Updates on the "AAR" Neon
« on: March 01, 2007 - 09:24:16 PM »
Well I know some of you have seen a few pics of my car a while back. Well I got my car fixed, got the Mopar body kit on and finished my exhaust (needs to be re-aligned though...it's crooked). This year I'm going to get all-new suspension components (better springs/struts, front/rear swaybar upgrades, front/rear strut bars), either paint my stock hood or get carbon fiber hood, reupholster my interior myself, and a few other appearance modifications. Anyways, here's a few updated pictures of how it looks now....

These are right after I got my Mopar body kit on the car:

Here's pictures of the car right before I parked it for the winter (notice the new custom center-exit exhaust :grinyes: ):

And here's a few pictures of what I'd like done...1st photo is untampered with, 2nd photo photoshopped with blacked out upper/lower grilles, wheels, and flat black STOCK hood, and 3rd pic also photoshopped with black grilles, wheels and Kaminari carbon fiber hood:

Any comments are welcome, and if you have a preference on what I should do with my hood, please let me know! Thanks guys!

The Neon looks pretty good!  As for a hood, the flat black factory-style hood looks the best. IMO, the aftermarket hood doesn't fit the contour of the car with the AAR 'Cuda theme paint scheme. :2thumbs:

How about the SRT-4 hood?  That is AAR-ish, and it looks like it belongs there.

The SRT hood does not fit the SXT very well. It sticks out about a 1/2 an inch past the front bumper...it may sound like a minor thing, but it really looks like **** when you see it.

Car looks good, out of all of them i say the flat black hood.

How mandatory is that front plate? I never ran one in virginia, california, nevada or florida. But it takes away a LOT from that front end.  :eek4:

I really like the looks of that neon.  I prefer the black wheels and scooped hood.  The factory hood is too plain, body color or blacked out IMO.

Lookin' good  :2thumbs:

Thanks guys! I know, that front license plate is killing me...but I hafta have it in MN, and I can't afford to get in anymore trouble with the law at this point in my life. I think I'm going to move it down more towards the bottom grilles though...probably look better.

Yeah, the car is an '05...I graduated from H.S. in '02. Haha...thanks again guys! It's awesome to see some muscle heads have some respect for the sport compacts  :clapping:

Oh yeah, I'm currently living in Duluth...I used to live in Willow River (smack-dab in the middle of the state on I-35)...town of 300 people. I grew up with muscle cars and Mopars...just can't afford the gas or insurance  :smilielol:
