I've been reading my MP Chassis book and it says that the
majority of automatics in the 60s and 70s came with "lock-up" transmissions which cannot be used with race converters. I how can I tell the difference between a lock-up and a non-lockup 727???
Or, am I reading the book wrong?
If the "majority" of these trannys are lock-ups, where do all the race 727s come from? What transmissions (with race converters) were they using in the 70s??
I have a spare 727 that I want to install in a 440 project car, but am now wondering if it's "junk"
. It has numbers on the pan rail, but I don't know what they mean.
