Off to Iraq
« on: March 04, 2007 - 08:38:06 AM »
Awhile back I did a post on "little Donny" who joined the marines. Well last nite "big Donny" (who by the way is actually shorter than his son at this point) threw his farewell party. He ships out next week. We all wish him the very best!

Little Donnie, is in good hands.  The Marines are an exceptional group.  Their training is to the highest of standards.  As I’m sure you have been exposed to the Marine culture, they are all brothers and they take care of each other.  Wish your son the best of luck from me.  I speak from experience I used to be a SGT in the Marines.

Just to make it clear little Donny is my friends son  , not mine. I was the "uncle " that boght him his first lap dance before he went off to basics! I've known him his whole lifetime. A fine young man to be sure!  :wavingflag:

Our sons are so young to fight for us old men. Please be careful and come back in good shape.  I know you are a brave person to go and learn a killing/survival skill just to keep us safe.  Our flag fly's high because of the pride our soldiers carry into battle just to keep us free from harm.
