Looking for info on BP27G0B128990
« on: March 05, 2007 - 09:06:40 PM »
I believe this red/white 70 Gran Coupe convertible was sold new in Texas, maybe Oklahoma.  It has definitely been in Texas since 1981. The fender tags and broadcast sheet are MIA.  If anyone knows their whereabouts, please contact me.  Thank you.

Was that for sale in 1999 in AZ?

Was it a Tor-Red (EV2) car or Rallye Red (FE5) car? I recall it being all original metal, survivor car.

Looking at those pictures you posted and the fender tag details Ola posted, shouldn't it have V5W on the fender tag also, or has someone put them on at some time :clueless:

That is not this car is it?

This one was a scam down in Georgia.

The car in your pics doesn't appear to have the cast Waxahachie, TX dealer emblem on the rear panel (Cunningham Motors)
Also Gran Coupes had the argent tail panels. I suspect the wheels had been changed over the years just like the hood was.

Have you found the rectangular grille inserts for the car since those 2010 pictures?  That are also standard on 1970 Gran Coupes.

Reading this thread, it looks like Ola has a record of what the data plate was.  You can always get one re-popped.  I would check your cowl and radiator support to verify the VIN to make sure the its still the same car!

Update - The build sheet was located in Florida and it is now back with the car. It was tucked into the back seat of another GC  :bananasmi

If anyone on this site that has Texas roots that knows anything about the old Cunningham Motors in Waxahachie I'd be interested in hearing from them.

Thx

Kim
