Alternator wiring????
« on: March 06, 2007 - 05:45:31 AM »
If anyone has pictures of the wiring on the alternator for a 73-74 'Cuda or Barracuda, I would really appreciate it.  I have read the wiring diagram and hooked it up to the best of my knowlege, but it isn't charging accordign the gauge in the car.  I have the black wire attached to the stud on the back of the alternator, then I have the green wire attached to the middle terminal.  There is one remaining terminal, but I have nothing hooked to it.  From what I could tell from the wiring diagram, a wire ran from this terminal to a part of the choke assembly for the carb.  Since I no longer have the factory carb(dual line 750 holley manual choke), what do I need to do about this wire?  My car has the stock electronic ignition system on it if that makes any difference.  I was going by this diagram. http://www.tunerz.com/downloads/74BarracudaWiring.zip

There was a fast idle solenoid that piggybacked off one of the wires, blue I think.
