70 Barracudas
« on: March 06, 2007 - 08:08:09 PM »
Someone asked me to post pics of when I found my cars this past summer, so here they are.  Had been sitting for 15 years in the same field.  The metal thing sticking up in front of the cars is a large plow that was placed there by the farmer so no one could take the cars.    383 Cuda and 318 Barracuda.

Was that near the Feather river? The line of trees in the back clues me that it might be near the river.
Nice pics to recall what they once were like.

Very cool pics!  :2thumbs:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Yes it was close to the Feather River.   I got so sick of cleaning the bird poop and rat crap off and out of these cars.  I also pulled those horrible mirrors off of the orange cuda.   Here is a pic of the hood to show the before and after.

Wow, can't believe this thread is still going.   Yes I had to do A LOT of haggling because it was two farmers who owned the cars.  I would call and one guy would like the offer but the other wouldn't and so on and so on...............I even showed up with a trailer and had to drive it home empty the first day.   I convinced them that at least the orange car would make it back on the road someday and that helped them part with the cars.   They had a lot of other very nice restorable Mopars that I am going to try and get if I can scrounge some more money.
