I've heard above 450 HP and you want a forged.  ????? I went forged since I'll be making a tad more than 450.

I have not used them or have any feed back on them , personally I would prefer to use forged cranks for balancing but other then that the cast are plenty strong

I built a 4" stroke 318, with the Eagle cast crank, I have no feedback yet, I haven't put it in......but I am happy so far, only snag I ran into is my Milidon windage tray and the crank hit. No biggie.
I never heard of problems with them, and a stock cast crank, is usually god for 500HP, right?

They say you don't have to add heavy metal to balance these. Cheaper than M.P.and use stock bearings.

I have heard of a few others using them without problems as long as it is kept to a mild build.

See, I've heard it's the stock block that will be safe to 500. I have a Hughes girdle. There aren't any #'s out there for girdle strengthening so I can't say what a girdle will let you push.
I've got a forged rotating assembly, girdle, Hughes prepped Eddy's, and a Supercharger I am going to throw in a pot and see what I come out with. I wouldn't use a cast crank for that.
N/A, stock heads, I would go cast to save $.

Well, give the cast crank a try! You never know what will work and what wont. LOL.

I don't know about 340's and 360's, but I have seen 318 blocks pushing 600HP stock, and the block wasn't what failed.

I would trial fit the rotating assembly before balancing.  I built a stroker last winter with Eagle forged crank, SIR rods and Probe pistons.  The bottom of the piston pin bosses were hitting the crank throws.  I ended up machining the bosses and rebalancing.

I used an Eagle cast crank on my 408 build. The build makes 480 hp and 500 lb. ft. I don't think it's power you have to be real concerned about as much as your RPM's with a cast crank. Mine makes max hp at 5,600 RPMs. Unless you are spinning at above 6,000-6,500 RPMs and making well above 550 hp, in which case you are wearing fully ported W2 or Indys...a cast crank is fine. BTW, my Eagle crank needed ZERO mallory to balance. I almost went with a forged crank, but I'm glad I didn't.

Compression = 10.2:1
Ported/gasket matched/3 angle valve job Eddy heads (58 cc Magnum chambers) flowed 284cfm
.040 gaskets
-21cc dished Ross forged pistons (4.030 bore)
K1 Technologies H beam rods
Isky springs
Scorpion 1.6 rocker arms
Custom ground hydraulic roller cam from Straightline Performance 248/254 @.050 .600 lift, 109 lobe
M1 intake
Holley 750 Double Pumper with Proform main body and throttle plate

I reused a lot of parts like the block and intake, etc... from my crashed Mopar 380hp 360 Magnum crate motor (only 2K miles, RIP :swear:). Breaking the 500 hp mark came down to the heads in my case. If I had another $1-$2K and could do it again I might go with the Indys and that would have gotten me to 530 hp I am certain. But I am happy with my results for $8K. :burnout:
