droptop question
« on: March 10, 2007 - 12:15:57 PM »
Is there a way to drop the top if one has taken most everything from under the hood?  All the electrical that was under the hood is out at this point.

There was pins on the linkages on my couger rag top that would allow manual movement, I would think any rag top would be the same.

If the pump is still hooked up as I assume it is, I would probably just run some power to it.  If the pump isn't hooked up, you can muscle the top down pretty easy.

You can unbolt the pistons and lower the top.  Be careful once you get halfway down with it.  Without the pistons or springs of the manual top it can get heavy.
