Blackcuda. What kind of manufacturing do you do? Sounds like your expanding? Good to see that all of our manufacturing in this country didn't go out to China.
Chryco. What's stopping ya from moving?
Inot2old. Had a bunch of work done to the 727 I have in htere. But I have beaten it up a bit on the track. May be looking for a refresh in a while.

NC is not too bad. Steve is near Shelby. I live about 20 miles from him. I have a junkyard here. If you want to move here I can start you in your own salvage yard.

Just a question for you guys. What is the realestate market like there. We are looking at moving in the next few years as we are retiring and looking for better weather. We are tring to get an idea of differant parts of the country.

In the Raleigh/Cary/Apex/Holly Springs area, the real estate market is really stable. Apparently a few years back when the whole country was going crazy, the climb here was gradual. But when they took a turn for the worse, apparently this area was one of the few that still kept slowly climbing.

Right now it's a bit of a buyers market here. Some homes seem to be moving pretty slowly.

I just got my first home in November.

Hello Rare_T_A, Raleigh area has some realy nice husing. The standards are very high. The prices are definitely going up as well. Starting to outweight some of the other areas as far as % of increase. Right now they estimate the rate of increase is about 15% per year. That's a positive for the sellers. Alot of other areas in the US have leveled out if not dropped a bit since last year. I understand some of the smaller lenders are getting a little gun shy about lending money out to potential buyers due to a rise in forclosures. Not a good sign for a stable economy... I guess we'll see what happens soon enough.

N96. the area around Kernersville, Winston Salem, and Greensboro is growing. Shouldn't be difficult to find something.

Hey N96, You got alot of guts winging it like that. I waited for the job to come first then folloed through with everything else. Fingers crossed with the sale of the house. So far it looks pretty positive with the recent sale history out by me. Not sure why but the houses in my price range seem to be moving steady.
