Misc. cars from my "fall 06" drive
« on: March 11, 2007 - 10:08:07 AM »
In the fall, I always take an all day drive around New England to enjoy the leaves, and at the same time troll for some oldies, (cars that is  :misbehaving: ).
I know some are not Mopars, but I find as I get older, I am becoming more tolerant of other "species"
I was able to talk to most of the owners, and met some very nice people.
I'll try to find my "05", and "04" trips later.
Anyhoo, just wanted to share some pics with ya.
Hope you enjoy

I would love to own that '68 Firebird. I had a '68 and '67 when I was in highschool.

This is great!  When I turned 16 me and my friends used to hit up every junk yard and any parked car we knew of!!!  We came accross some jems too, being 16 we never had any money.  Very cool tradition you have.

Thanks for the compliments all

That 68 Valiant is probably crushed by now.
The older gentleman that I talked to for a while said he had it out in front by the road trying to sell it forever, and had no luck.
He said it was going to the crusher within the next week or two, (that was last fall)  :crying:  :sadwavey:
I took his card, and wanted to save the ole Vailiant, but I have no room  :pullinghair:
Kinda curious if it is still there.
She had so much potential  :burnout:
I'm pretty sure it was in Deerfield Ma.  :dunno:

Thanks for posting the pics!  Very cool of you!

The Firebird is nice but that GTO is serious eye candy, IMO!   A 'vert, a wing, and a 455ci engine!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Thanks again everyone, glad you enjoy the pics
Yes, blue, that Goat was a standout for me too.
I talked to the guy for a while. He was young, (in his twenties).
He said his father gave him the car, and he bought it brand new from day one  :clapping:
Very nice kid. You could see the barn from the main road, and said he has people asking constantly if it's for sale.
I did not ask. I only asked if he had some time to talk about his car, as me being a Mopar guy, this was not my thing,
even though I loved his ride
He did say he was going to fix it up in the next few years, and I actually do believe him.

Yes I do have some close ups of the for sale sign, with the price, and number.
If I remember correctly, it was around $6,500  :22yikes: though he seemed pretty lenient.
Give me a little while to find it.
