Rallye Or magnum?
« on: March 11, 2007 - 10:43:20 AM »
It's going to cost me the same amount of money, whether its getting my rallye wheel center caps and trim rings, or new rallye wheels and center caps and tires.  Costs me almost the same amount.  Post some pics of challengers with both please!

Stacked,

I don't see how this can possibly be correct.  :clueless: How can you possibly get Rally wheels center caps and tires, for the cost of center caps and trim rings? In any event, both the Rally's and Magnum wheels look nice. Ford makes something that looks close to the Magnum, so I always thought of the Rally's as a true Mopar thing.

While I like both the Rally and the Magnums, I think the Rally's look better on "E" bods and the Magnums look better on the "B" bods...   Just my Old 0.02.............     :bigshades:    :cooldancing:

I voted Magnum...as in Magnum 500's not road wheels....I liek the all chrome...BUT

it depends on the paint and dress-up.

vinyl roof? mag/road
hard top rally
decals rally
plain road
type of hood?
etc....

dressed up...yeah I always thought a bit more...Formal...

that is why the make-up or dressing of the car can scream one set over the other...

I think Magnum 500s on a Challenger and Ralley wheels on a Cuda is the right combo. On T/A and AAR ralley wheels all the way. If you prefer the sleeper look...painted steel wheels and dog dish caps. Or be different and throw everyone off with cop car rims. :2thumbs:

:iagree: Depends what sort of "attitude" you want for the car.  Rally wheels look sportier.  Magnums look more dressed up, as Tropicalcats said.  A wee bit classier, IMO.

You can always have 2 sets of rims.  I have Magnums and Keystone Klassics.  These are factory 14" with trim rings.  I chose these over the Rally rims because I didn't like the '72-'74 "acorn" centercap and wanted a "correct"  ::) wheel for that year so '70-'71 centercaps were out, although I do like them.  15" Magnum rims will fill the wheel well a bit more, don't use trim rings (usually), and have more shine due to the chrome ( I have brushed steel trim rings and spokes).

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
