        Kind of reminds me of a licence plate frame a co worker has on his Ford 350-- Ton age has the right of way! Those people are nuts...

    I saw a documentary on this road about six months ago.  I do not remember the TV station though.  The locals actually volunteer their time to act as traffic control officers.  The Bolivian government is working to make the road safer, but it does not have the funding to complete the work and probably wont for many years.

    I agree with NZ, it looks like fun place to take a drive, but only if no one else was on I at the time.

    I saw the same documentary,  totally nutzoid !

    They also showed "mechanics" stiffening & repairing the suspension on cars with inner tubes wrapped around springs, ball joints etc. 

    Don't mind paying taxes as much after seeing this,

    Nevertheless, still would only want to drive the enclosed cliff part of that road, that part looks cool.
