Late model exhaust manifold technology?
« on: March 14, 2007 - 06:27:55 PM »
Having the suspension package but having to worry about dragging headers is crap! Has anyone found late model exhaust manifolds that will fit and flow for moderate performance without clearance issues? Running a 318 with swirl port heads and thinking about port matching to the larger exhaust without dropping the bottom of the smaller port head. I like the fit of the 318 manifolds plus the reduced heat signature compared to the 340/360 units. :working:

As I recall, some guys use Magnum manifolds from a Jeep Cherokee and they work fairly well. I'm not sure what you mean by "dropping" the port when port matching. Honestly, the exh port (the entire opening) should be slightly smaller than the manifold/header it's dumping in to. Hope that helps...

the TTi headers will not drag like most headers as they do not go under the steering linkage like most headers do
