Lunch for the deer
« on: March 17, 2007 - 12:43:57 PM »
There is a family up in Eagle River, Wi. that feed the many deer around them each year when the weather gets bad and their food supply starts to run scarce. They just drop cans of grain on the ground around their property and then the deer start to come for lunch. this portion of the pic only show about 2/3 of the deer present, it was a panaramic pic you had to scroll to see it all, but when I saved it it only a portion of it reproduced. But it is a sight to see for sure.

Funny how there are no bucks?,hunters must have got'um.I am an Ex avid hunter(mopar sickness took it over)and i dont like killing animals anymore, thats why we have supermarkets.I am by no means a tree hugger but in states like calif where dear are scarce,I dont think they should be hunted.States where they are over populated and the habitat cant support them,I dont see a problem with thinning the herd.Great Pics thanks

I'm not a hunter by any means, but do bucks have antlers at this point in the year?   :dunno: I thought not.

I wouldn't go that far :poopoke: I think Buck's antlers fall off in the winter. And in the spring they are called button Bucks, when their antlers start growing back.
