Cudas with Aftermarket Wheels
« on: March 20, 2007 - 06:36:13 AM »
Although I think the mopar rallye wheel is hard to beat on 70-74 Cudas, I would like to see what others are running on their rides....    What kind of wheels are you running on your Cudas?  Listing rims sizes (including backspacing), tire sizes and any suspension mods to run them would be great as well....

Whatch got on those Cudas?????

My wife's green 73 Cuda has 16" Hopsters by American racing and my red 71 Cuda has 17" Smoothie II's by Boyd Coddington. Both cars have Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3 tires. We went a little conservative due to the expense of 18" and larger rims and tires, almost twice as much. We drive the cars regularly and didn't want to be out the expense to replace those bigger, more expensive tires all of the time.
Personally, I like the looks of the 18's better. I would like to use 18 x 10's and 17 x 8's on my 70 Cuda that I'm building but will probably end up going old school since I plan to do lots of burnouts with that car. I plan to put that 440-6 and 4-speed to good use. lol

Here's a couple of pics of the wife's '71 with some KMC Hot Wheels 17x9.5" wheels. After reading about them on Mopar Action, decided to get them (Thanks Rick E.!)
245's in front and 285's out back...
