My wife's green 73 Cuda has 16" Hopsters by American racing and my red 71 Cuda has 17" Smoothie II's by Boyd Coddington. Both cars have Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3 tires. We went a little conservative due to the expense of 18" and larger rims and tires, almost twice as much. We drive the cars regularly and didn't want to be out the expense to replace those bigger, more expensive tires all of the time.
Personally, I like the looks of the 18's better. I would like to use 18 x 10's and 17 x 8's on my 70 Cuda that I'm building but will probably end up going old school since I plan to do lots of burnouts with that car. I plan to put that 440-6 and 4-speed to good use. lol
