Grandpa's Growler
« on: March 20, 2007 - 10:18:16 AM »
Do ya all want to go there again this year ?  I thought I'd call Danny sometime next week and make reservations if indeed there is enough interest. If you are a "YES"  please send me an e-mail or a PM here, makes it a lot easer to tabulate an accurate number than "fishing" through varrious posts.

Below are the names and number each of you gave to me, if this information needs updated please let me know. And, as before, PLEASE, EVERYONE NOTIFY ME ONLY THROUGH PM OR E-MAIL. Thank you.  -  Jim and Pam

Can we have more wait staff this year??   :stirpot:    I'm in.  If we don't have it there, we need to have it somewhere as the cc.com dinner is a great time for everyone to get together and socialize!  Already looking forward to it.   :grinyes:

That poor waitress worked her tail off last year. I'm just glad she had a personality to deal with it. Hopefully it was just a case of someone calling in sick that day. 3 hours for din-din was a bit much, but the food and prices you can't complain about.  :2thumbs:

Mike - Oops, forgot to mention the beer too.

Really it was fun the whole weekend, service was slow, but severly understaffed.  Beer was pretty good too.

I brought this up last year shortly after Carlise when we were reflecting upon our fun times at Carlisle. Although it was mentioned as is again it didn't seem to be a big thing. As someone said, hey, we were not going anywhere anyway except back to the motel. I guess that is one way to think about it. Personally it made me quite uncomfortable, first I felt bad for the those who were upset at the length of time. Secondly I really felt bad for our lone waitress, she was a sweetheart and a great worker, to keep 25-30 peoples food and drink orders all by herself. And I hope no one "shorted" her on tipping because of something that was obviously not her fault. Now as to what happened I don't know....?

If the consenus is to return there I will gladly make the arrangements with Danny. If someone would know and like to go else where that's fine too, they can make the reservations for us please. But either way next year I would ask someone else to handle this task, and it has nothing to do with this, I'm just not sure if Pam and I will be able to make it next year, in fact we may as it turns out only be able to make it for Saturday this year.............???

Also along this line of thought would someone else be willing to make the individual window signs for us this year? Ed (Total BS) did a super job with the "cling" style ones he brought and handed out last year, personally Ed, it would be great if you'd do this for our group. Those were beautiful and very professionally done, still got ours on the windshield of the Chally.  :2thumbs:

I'll let you know. My family and I usually go to Inn 74 for dinner Sat. night. Since this is our weekend to hang out , I would hate to break our tradition. I don't want any of my brothers mad at me.

To be honest, it is great fun. It's a sports bar wanna-be. Good food. Good prices. Great beer selection. But I will be there.  :poopoke:
