power steering pump and AC unit
« on: March 20, 2007 - 04:52:45 PM »
What I have is a 383 that was built in 68. I am looking to get a power steering pump and I can get one off a 1975 383. Will it fit my engine? If not which years of the 383 are the same. I need a power steering pump bad, tired of the strong arm steering!!!!! :pullinghair:
And what about an AC unit which years will fit my engine??
Please help!!!!! :feedback:

I will snap a picture of them when I get home sunday, PLEASE  remind me. The bracket too. And I will see if I can find the long special bolt as well for you. Around 25 bucks, and I gotta play shipping by ear. I have to ask the post office what it takes to ship it to another world :smilielol:

I took this set up off a 68 440 with a/c.  So the pulley is still on it.  My plate is full right now and I am 2000 plus miles from my house, I am looking at a car for cc.c next week 100 plus miles round trip, and my dad is having surgery the 29th, so if you can wait a few days, I have no problem shipping you the pump. Pay pal is ok I guess, not sure about total with shipping yet......ALAN

kmyles, I just now got home, I will be looking in the storage shed in a bit. Doing updates and reports right now, I am sure I have the pump. You got the pressure hose? What all do you have right now. A one time thing is what I am counting on for shipping. My plate is full right now and extra large size :2thumbs:

Yes that is the type, but Mine has the complete brackets. I just got back to my dads home. He had surgery today. I will be home tomorrow. Shoot you some pics and swap info. Sorry, but it has been nerve wracking with this operation and all. I will be on track tomorrow....ALAN
