This is the parts truck that I got, I used almost all sheetmetal from this truck to use on the 3/4 ton chassis from the blue truck

Also, the cab bottom primed and ready for undercoating

Oh, and the frame after I used some rust converter on it, then painted black.
(It looks like it has a hammered finish to it, but its just slight pitting on the frame.  Its not gonna be a show truck, so I want worried about it     )

Thanks for the comments guys, it keeps me going.

Dave, Im not sure when the shows start in N St Paul, but I would assume mid to late May, when things warm up a lot nicer.  I grew up on a wire feed, so I like to weld.  I just dont like exterior sheet metal, it scares me.   :scared:

As for the powerplant, he he he.  Im dead set on a 5.7 hemi with the old 4 spd I have in there now.  Stock 5.7 exhaust to make it sound quiet.  The ultimate sleeper!  When you look in the cab the only way a person is going to be able to tell that its modified is I have to get new guages.  I will try to get some old school looking guages to look inconspicuous.  I have an extra hood (obviously) so I want to make a fresh air scoop with an acutator.  It would be closed till I want to scare the shlt out of somebody at a stoplight.  Can you imagine an old boxy dodge at the stoplight, then I flip the scoop switch?  350 horse in a truck that weighs (with me in it) about 3800 lbs is going to be insane, I cant wait.   :burnout:

Oh, and its going to be that purdy blue color thats on the firewall, with a white cab roof on it.   :2thumbs:

Looking good man.  I've got a 69 D300 that I'm going to fix after I get finished with the Cuda.  Here is a pic.  I know, I know it has a 68 hood on it :clueless:, but the original hood got damaged and we couldn't find a 69 hood anywhere around here to replace it with.  I love my truck. :grinyes:

Dave, its a single piston.  The rotors and calipers are both cheby.   :misbehaving:

The calipers are from a 76 impala.  My truck will weigh only 3800 lbs, with me in it!  So the calipers should stop it fine, I figure that a big old impala weighs more then 3800.

Havent gotten anything else done.  Spring is pretty much here, that means more real work outside    :walkaway:

My cousin is an engineer at a foam place in town, he got me some free floormat stuff that Im going to piece in the floor.  and it was free!
