Well, I feel quite a bit better by now.  Walking around is cake, bending over and sitting down are fine too, no pain.

Here's the bad news.  The guys at Squier are getting a little, oh, bothered by me I think.  They sent me a brand new computer, and it still didnt charge.  I called there, and he wasnt too happy.  I was like, what do you want me to do.  The computer is good, the alternator is good, the wires from one to the other are good.  I am not getting voltage out of the computer to the alternator, and the computer is brand new.  I checked all of the power and grounds on the black plug, all are there.  So that leaves one thing:  the harness.  I started taking it out today.  But considering that the truck is out in the shed and it didnt get above zero degrees today, I didnt get very far.  Tomorrow its supposed to be about 20 or so, I'm going to work on it a little more.

Then what, I dont know.  I'll look it over myself to see if I wrecked it anywhere during the installation.  I highly doubt it, there is plenty of room everywhere.  Then if I cant find any bad spots, off go the computer and harness, back to Squier.  This shouldnt be this freaking hard.   :walkaway:

I normally dont get too frustrated over things, but I dont know.  I dont think there is anything else I can do as a customer.  They also told me that the computer that I sent back was fried.  Which was weird, because that was the SECOND time I sent it back.  The first time I sent it back, it worked fine.  The second time, it was toast.  Luckily they didnt charge me for it, but he said if it happens again, they will.   :walkaway:

Scott, everything worked fine, it ran like it always did when I sent it back in the second time.  I think just that charging circuit fried.  I dont know.

Are you running a tach on your hemi?

If so what is it connected to?

No, I'm not.  I plan on it though, just wasnt a high priority.  I know you need a Mopar tach adapter or something, it was a few hundred bucks.  I dont need it yet.  Plus the cost of the tach, $500 I dont need to spend yet.   :lol2:

I brought the box in to ship today, computer and wiring harness.  Probably wont get there for a week now or more.  I should ask the guy if there is a way to program a rev limiter in, I dont think there is one now.

See if he can add a tach signal wire from it also.

Mopar uses the autometer signal box summit racing has it for $79.00

Msd has one for $42.00 no splicing of wires.

My PCM should have on also I can read RPM's on the pc I just need to read deeper into the manual but I may just use one of these if I cant find it.

Cool, yeah, I should ask him that.  I would think he could do it for just a few $$, it isnt that hard to add a wire.  Thanks

Good luck finding yours, that sure sounds simpler than adding one.  That first one you listed looks pretty easy to hook up.

I think an old school looking tach mounted on the column would look pretty cool, something like this:

do they make ones to fit our challengers?

I don't know if those lights will fit, but I'm willing toLo bet that these might even be better.  I am planning on putting these and ordering all the upgrade bulbs from Dan when I start putting my Challenger back together.

My friend Mike did the conversion on his Barracuda, check it out.

Love your truck, and I'm glad your feeling better.   I'll be watching to see what the problem turns out to be.

I called Chris down at Squier yesterday.  He said the computer already has a rev limiter in it, 53 or 5400 I think he said.  Also, he said there is no way to get a tach wire hooked in, he said I have to get one of those controllers.

I think he's getting sick of me, lol.
