Oh my, been a while.  Havent done much.  Got the other fender on, front clip is almost complete, just gotta paint like 30 more bolts.   :faint:

Doesnt look too bad for a kid with a 30 year old paint gun working out of a farm shop and or shed.

I'm really excited it runs, but it is acting kinda funny.  It wants to stall after I give it some gas, and when you give it gas to rev it, it revs up fine, but seems to stay there for a second or so.  Maybe thats just the nature of the drive by wire?  I should ask my buddy for his OBDII scanner to see if it is throwing any codes.  I'm sure I'll get it worked out.  man is this thing going to be a beast.   :clapping: :burnout:

That's looking very nice, Steve!  It'll be cool to see the hood on with your custom air grabber setup. :2thumbs:

Not to sure on your running issue but a few thoughts I have would be the computer hasn't learned yet, My 5.0 ran the same way until I drove it for a day or so and it smoothed right out.  Also check and be sure your not getting any air introduced into the exhaust through the header flanges on the head or on header to pipe connections, that makes all the difference.

Driveshaft comes tomorrow.  I *might* be able to drive it.  Drop some oil in the tranny, bleed the clutch, and I might try moving it.   :faint: :bricks1:

I hope it works out that way Steve, it will be a day to celebrate if the truck can move under it's own power :woo:

Thanks guys.  Scott, I had a local driveshaft place make one for me.  I dropped off my tranny yoke and pinion yoke and gave them a length, bam, three business days later I'm going back for a shaft.  Not cheap though, he said he had a hard time finding parts, something was obsolete...   :blah:   He called today and said he was done, but I didnt check my phone till it was too late.

On a side note, just because the smaller gear oil barrel says  that it has gear oil in it, doesnt necessarily mean that.   :bricks1:

In other words, dont start pumping engine oil into your tranny without verifying that it is indeed gear oil.  You have to drain it and start over.   :violin: :misbehaving:

I'm back, driveshaft installed.   :cooldancing:  The thing is huge!  It should work awesome.  I do have to remove a crossmember though, the one that held my two piece driveshaft carrier bearing.

I cant waste any tranny oil.  Went to the dealer, of course its synthetic fancy pants stuff, $20 a quart.   :faint:   :bricks1:
