Thanks Kenny, I enjoy it for a while, lol.  All I have is a backup grinder that is stuck "on", a welder and chop saw.  I wish I had some of those fancy metal working tools, but I dont do this stuff everyday.

Better not ask the cows.  I'd rather be doing just about anything else than working with them.   :lol2:

I got it on and primed today.  My neck is sore from wearing the helmet with all of the welding the stake holes, etc.  I havent done this amount of welding in a long time.

I'll stop whining now.

Oh, and I test fit the tailgate, too.  It does fit, but I think I'm going to have to trim some sheetmetal on both sides on the top of the gate.  Probably an 1/8 or so.  Too tight for my liking, I think it would scratch the paint off.

Hey Steve, instead of trimming the tailgate.  If you have access to a port-a-power you can spread the top of the bed to gap it right for the tailgate to fit instead of cutting ?

If not, the same result can be acheived with a bottle jack and wood if a port-a-power is not available :2thumbs:

Mark, you should be in bed right now, so here you go.   :stirpot:

It isnt perfect, and there is some orange peel I'll have to get out, but I just want to drive.  I'll have a pro paint it someday.  Second coat tomorrow morning.

And also, I sewed on my patch that I got from Tom.  Looks awesome, cant wait to wear it!

Thanks guys.  I went and got it registered today.  It was $265, a one time fee.  I got "hobbyist" plates.  I couldnt get "collector" plates because I didnt meet the "original manufacturer specifications"   :roflsmiley:  Ya think?   :smilielol:

I painted another coat today, also.  I'm calling it good.  Wouldnt be a big deal to sand some and re shoot the box if I dont like it, but for now it's fine.  I mounted the fan on the radiatior, also.  Now its just taillights and a bumper, and I'll be on my way down the blacktop...   :burnout:
