I was wondering if you ever got that hood. If you still need it hauled we are coming to Farmington in May for the show. Let me know if you need it hauled.

I'm pretty sure he's coming down as soon as it drys up a bit up there, Ken.  He said before the end of April for sure.  Thanks anyway, and I'll definitely let you know if he doesnt come.

Man, that is really looking great!  You should really be proud of yourself.   What tranny did you put it the truck again?

Your so detail oriented, I bet the gap between the bed and cab is driving you crazy.... or maybe not.  I wonder if you can lower the back of the bed or raise the cab to make it even?

Really great job on your truck.  I love it.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.  I put the NV3500 5 speed in it.
The gap was actually a bit worse before.  The sides of the bed on the bottom were bowed out, and I took the come-along and "persueded" it into place.   :roflsmiley:  I actually have the cab and front clip about 1/2" up from where they were originally.  The gap resembles the gap on almost every other sweptline I've ever seen, so it doesnt bother me too bad.  But yes I notice it every time I walk by.   :roflsmiley:

The details I enjoy doing.  It helps set it apart.  Now if I could only paint like a pro...   But that I'll have to hire done someday, for now it'll do.  Thanks again

That's awesome you have everything in place now, Steve!  So what ever happened to your modified hood?  I thought you made some air grabber assembly for it or something. :dunno:

I did Mark, I decided it was too much work, I just want to drive.   :roflsmiley:

Why do I always have this stupid look on my face when I start a vid?   :stomp:  I look pretty darn special.

I go back down to third right before the end of the vid.  It still has a slight shimmy, the front right has flat spot.   :stomp:

Sounds awesome!!   :wow: :jumping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

You need a camera man to show us you pulling away and to take some vid from inside the truck.  Where's Dad when you need him?

Hey Steve,
You should mount the camera to the hood  that way you can tape you leaving the yard, cause the hood and camera would be on the stands waiting to get painted :poopoke: :smilielol: you are having too much fun driving by the looks :burnout: :2thumbs: does sound good buddy :woo:

Thanks guys.  My dad was down at church, I had to finish chores.  Funny Kenny...   :poopoke:   I shouldnt get too tired of it, most of the time I wont step on it, and its actually pretty quiet.

I stepped on it a little more, still not all the way, but pretty hard.  Tires chirp if you listen...

Just kidding, it is one awesome truck you have built my friend :2thumbs:

Thanks guys, I was just going to update this tonight.

I blasted and painted a hood hinge a darker shade of gray, it looks good.  I'll do the second one tomorrow probably.

Oh, and I finally picked up a hood today.

It has some dents, but no rust.   :worshippy :bananasmi
