Well he did sell the parts and casting books.
One thing I do have a problem with is he is photographing fender tags at shows and leaving a card on your windsheild stating he has done this and is using the info.
He did this to my car once.
I did not like the tone of it either as it comes off like he is checking yours against other cars to verify yours. Then you can pay to get the info.

 :roflsmiley:  That's just funny!!!
I don't really care much about him either way but it sounds like he's calling you out on that card.
He didn't come off very well at Barrett Jackson.  (kinda lame)

Yep that's the way I took it too. :grinyes:  :clueless: "I am interested in preserving the hobby are you?" :clueless:
It's seems that way when you get one, so I stopped by his booth and talked to him about it. The answer was he just was using the info to build the data base and my particular info would not be given out.
Since that time I have read some people have gotten vague info on cars out of the blue when they are for sale stating if you want more give him a call (and pay for it).

What a complete Jack Off this guy must be.  If you think about it, seems like the intrest for the time being has peeked (Hobby).  How long do you think its going to be before this guys rep is tarnished enough to run him out of town?  or has he just done enough to embed himself till the end?  Seems like there are alot of unhappy people with this piticular person and his service and with so many unhappy people the word should spread?  So I ask what keeps him a player, aside from his early work?

Okay, I thought about not replying to this but I have to.  Galen is slow at the process I agree, but doesn't every need to step back and think how many people are asking him the same thing.  How many were made, how many are left, what this option................................. Bet it's tiring

We were as the Don Garlits show in Ocala two years ago and he was there.  Early Sunday mornings he came over and started talking to us.  We both knew who he was so we offered him a seat and he gladly accepted.  He sat and talked to us for over an hour just about any thing.  He really isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be.

Yes he has cornered the market on information that we all want.  None of us saw that coming.  He provides a sevice that no one else can.  I have done business with him and yes it took along while for it to be returned but I am happy with the results.

A rare post indeed in this thread. I see your point but any professional business won't take on more than they can handle. No one is forcing him to take the cash and the job. He'd be better off doing the jobs he can quickly and efficiently rather than taking them on and doing what ever he does that takes him so long. I guess what he needs is a business management course. I haven't seen his work myself so can't make a factual comment but I have read about them and so far in this thread you're the only reply to say you're happy with his work, not a high success rate.

nice story about him, but it DOES take a genuine person to answer emails and/or phone calls in a timely manner, even if someone in his organization has to do it  :villagers:

So I assume you never got the corrected copy
Years ago , mid 80s I owned a Warlock truck But it had the Power Wagon Pkg on it , 4x4 360 E58
I asked him if the truck was rare & approx what the production of the truck would be & he told me 50% of the Warlocks were 4x4 Power Wagons .........Yeah Right ... ever seen one ? Virtually every Warlock I have seen is 2 wd , I did find a couple of 4x4s on Ebay , my guess woudl be closer to 5%

I had one. It was a black one and I remember seeing a red one once

The E58 360 4bbl was not an available option though.

Well, 100,000 cars vs 1 man is tuff.  He may be over his head. He may have never dreamed this info gathering hobby of his would balloon so big. Yes he is in it deep. I just hope and trust he is seeing a hind sight of everything and working on correcting anything in the future.  Like run it like a corperate. And get the help he needs to try and make an effort in repairing the so called blemished damage he has created. The guy must have little personal time to himself now. I have heard other stories on other people in the mopar trades having simular issues with trying to deal with so many and only being 1 person.

I wish him the best, and hope the dilemas of all this starts moving forward again. I know it will take time, and some are not so forgiving, but if I see improvments on him trying to get these things right, I am still with him. I feel he isnt a neglectful dork, just one man over his head trying to help all he can and to keep the lights on at the same time.

You ever think about what all Barry goes through with everything he has posting, inventory, registry, files, buying tags and build sheets with his own personal money, and trying to serve all of us by helping? You have to start somewhere, and I will never forget the dedication any of these people have just trying to keep the hobby clean.  Some might not agree with me, but I really think in the future, Galen will be back on track and doing better with everything.

Perhaps ?  Al, it's been near 7 years since my order and three years since I asked him about it at Carlisle.............OH, I bet he just lost my file I guess, no information available. Sorry,............ if the guy got this busy that quick he'd have more than two people attempting to run the business successfully, not running it into the ground and pissing people off all over the country.  :2cents:

I know and I am with you on your anger, but am hopeful a 180 turn around comes and then some persistant communications to keep it all on the up and up.

It's very obvious to see how most customers have just gave up. He just really needed to focus on 1 at a time and go by first come first serve and work from there.

It will take a major turn around on his side to make things right.  Hope he does act on it soon.
