6 speed and 6.1 Hemi

I didn't want to hi jack the big block 5 speed thread, so......what is necessary to mate up the viper t-56 to a new 6.1 hemi? Is the McLeod or Lakewood bell the only method? Do you have to have the modular bell? I know the small block bells will mate to the 6.1 but that only gets me half way.
Chryco---any specifics?
Anyone?
Thanks in advance, Wes

I know the XV motorsports guys have 5.7 and 6.1 setups using the t56 already. It may be worth dropping them a line to see what they've got.

I emailed XV and they said they are only doing the 6-speeds on conversions in Canada and will not sell the bell housing seperately-only with their complete transmission. Sounds about like Keisler's method too; hold the bellhousing hostage for the complete sell. I wish if they just needed to recoup the engineering and startup costs for the bell, they would just charge a core or something for this. Support us home builders! DQHemi at XV

Ben Grasso of Plum Floored Creations (Lee's Summit, Mo) has done this for his superbee. I believe his website is
www.plumfloored.com
On a side note...Classic Mopar 5 Speed is bringing to market an affordable conversion bell housing to support the Tremec TKO installations. Granted 5 speed and not the 6 as you mentioned.

Thanks, I'll keep my eye out for that one from classic 5 speed. I'm not set on the 6 speed, I can also do the 5 speed as the transmission quite available also.

Thanks for the welcome tactransman. I see we share the same of Missouri. Classic Mopar 5 Speed will be making a public announcement in the next 10 days of the offering and plans to support the Mopar faithful.
