I'll start off with how i actually came across this car. Right after i turned 16 i got out of racing for a little bit, and wanted to find something old to restore and learn about body work, welding etc. I spent the summer driving around rochester ny looking for an old farm truck, a mid 50's chevy truck or something along those lines to dink around with and turn into something nice. I spotted an old blue chevy truck parked next to a barn about a mile from where i lived, swung in and to ask the owner if they were looking to sell it. The lady informed me that it was her friends car, had been sitting there for years and no one in their right mind would want to scrape all the bondo off of it. Then she promtly asked "are you looking for a project?" After i said yes we walked back to an old rickety barn with a few old trucks, and a 1973 Barracuda 318, partially taken apart where she started to do the body work. Flew home, grabbed two grand, flew back before she could change her mind, and that night i owned the car that i had posters off all over my room since i was about 12.
Two weeks later i drove by the house, the barn that the barracuda was in collapsed and burnt to the ground.... thank god i stopped by when i did.
Then 5 years later i was talking about the car at work, one guy i work with heard me talking about it and come to find out it was his girlfriend i bought the car from, aparently she is still kicking herself to this day.
The bodywork on the car is getting there, ive been messing around with it here and there since i got it, but finally with college being over in about a month this summer is going to be the big push to get it into color before winter comes again. It was orignally a metallic green color with seats and interior in a nice shade of puke green. The car has been stripped and will be sprayed in Dodge Viper Blue, a 360 crate will replace the tired 318, more of a resto mod.
