    Is 70-72 cuda rear bumpers the same??

    I'm changing my 73 cuda bumper and am wondering if 70-72 is the same. ???

    The 70-72 bumpers should bolt on without a problem, I know they do with the Challenger. The earlier bumpers did not have the large bumperettes on them like the 73-74 cars did.

    I was going to ask the same question, so the large  rubber bumperets only came on the 73 -74 cars? will all 70-74 bumpers enter change?

    When I changed my 73 cuda bumper to the 72 style, I had to source a 72 bumper because the bolt holes were different on the 72.   :screwy:

    more pics please! very nice looking black cuda you have  .black is my fav. color on the cuda's .the 71 cuda in Phantasm is what got me interested in the plymouth cuda in the 80's. what size crager wheels are you running on the back 15x8's or 10's?

    the 70 bumper is different , the jacks were different & the bumper had no slots

    15x8" and they rub alittle now and then . . . had air shocks in that picture to help with clearance.    Not sure what I'm going to do now . . .  :dunno:

    very nice black cuda you have, :ylsuper: try  some  235/60 15 's or 245/60 15's  on the rear and maybe they wouldn't rub.  i ran 235/60 15's on my general lee with 15x8.5 rims and they cleared fine.

    i dont know about the cudas even thou we got 3  1970 cudas  but the challenger bumper brackets are not the same  we have a 74 challenger  and wanted to put 70-71 bumpers on it  so we bought some from tri-city   and nooooo thay dont fit or even close to fitting the 72-74 brackets  we had to track down some 70-71 brackets  also challenger and cuda brackets do not interchange as i compared them    hope can be of some help
