RPM Airgap flow interference
« on: March 23, 2007 - 10:10:17 AM »
guys,
Has anyone noticed this on their intakes?  If the photo doen't post properly, I'll edit post to add more info.  I'm not impressed with the divider wall interference to the air flow path.

this is exactly why I port all intakes , typically edelbrick seem to be the worst for casting , how do the head port windows line up , I just bought a 440 Victor intake & every port on the left bank is 1/4 higher than the head / gasket, anyone have a tig welder I can borrow to fix the roof of all the ports ?

I know summit sells the correct gasket for that divided wall...dont know if it will help.....Also chyrco I'm glad you mentioned about the victor...my tm7 had 1 port that was a little lower than the gasket  :scared:.... I gues I'll just have to deal with it  :burnout:

I have the RPM intake and heads and had to grind a couple of the intake ports to get them to line up.   :stomp:
