Challenger with GM GTO Mirrors

Well I didnt wanna pay the big bucks for a mopar pair so i went with these GM mirrors...I believe they were off a GTO...I think they look good though...since they bolt on from the inside I had to cut 1 hole in the door to get a socket on them to mount the one nut.... they are real strong and fasten real tight to the door...The cost me only $80 as opposed to a factory remade set of $400+

I think they are about the nicest looking set to put on a mopar other than the factory style ...

They look good, how are the viewing angles, can you see with them?  Is the passenger or drivers remote adjust.
I'd like to get some powered units, but haven't found anything that looks good and has the right lines.

I must admit, I dreaded looking into this thread. Although I wouldn't put them on mine, they do look good.

You can see fine out of them and the passenger side is non-remote....The guy I got them off of had them on a cuda matched to body color and they looked real good so I got a set...

Other than the base different, I would say that that was a good choice.  Our parts are so expensive, unless you are going for the exact reproduction then I don't think it is bad to substitute....

I like the late model Cordoba/Aspen mirrors too

Ive had those on my challenger for 10 years now, not to many mopar people even notice them as being GM. They do look good on the challenger and the base is correct so you can actually see out of them. and its hard to beat the price.

If you want to keep it all Mopar, the later model cordobas used a mirror that has the exact same head as an E body mirror and has a through stud base, like the GM one above. They alos have teh advantage of being left and right remote adjustable. These can be found in yards for $20-40 a pair.

I've got a set on my Challenger. No one has pointed out that they are different, although I'm sure the hard core purist notice the lack of screw in bases right away.

 Way to go.  The late 70's Aspens and Volares used the same mirror too. Not in chrome though.
