    Funny car driver Eric Medlin passed away today without regaining consciousness after his funny car accident Monday.
    I'll miss him.

    you know last sunday I think Robert hight and ashley hit the wall, I think John or erik crossed the centerline.  do you think it is at all related?

    Maybe the weekend stuff was somehow related, but I think it has been reported that Eric blew a rear tire out and caused him to lose control.  Not 100% positive, but that was the early reporting........     :walkaway:

    So very tragic. May everyone that races be cautious and never take safety for granted. My heart goes out to the family and friends. He will be greatly missed. I pray the peace of God comforts all those in mouring for Eric!!

    That hella sucks. I just met him last year at the 2006 SEMA show. He was such a nice person. May he rest in peace.

    You can get the story on speedtv.com  Looks like he remained unconcious the whole time. Things got complicated... they had to cut away part of his skull to relieve the pressure...... his family pulled the plug.

    Sad day for drag racing and the NHRA!    :walkaway:  I went to the US Nationals every year since 1996.  Have seen alot of great drag racing from the Top Eliminator Club bleachers.   :worshippy
