No link sorry, they come out in 07 Fall so nothing advertised yet. I guess I/we shouldn't get too carried away. We all know in this hobby ETAs are like the weather on Everest, changing all the time. I guess I'll wait and see how they turn out, the price seems good and from what I can tell they're complete. Hopefully the quality is as good as they're claiming. Ben Snobar as far as I know doesn't make the hoods, he's only the supplier. Sorry, I got that wrong.

If you had a six figure six-pack or Hemi car, would you want a repop on your car?

Ragtop,
That not the point, The people that have 6 figure cars are few and far between and would pay up the a$$ for a correct hood with a 2 instead of a 3 number stamped in the hood..... I will not do that,  I am excited that I can now buy a new shaker hood for my car, I have wanted to do that for 10 years.....

If you had a six figure car you could afford the genuine thing. Ditto if it has a wrecked original or missing shaker hood but if it did not come with it why would you want to hurt the value by "adding" a shaker?

Exactly and that was my point.  That $6500 hood is not priced for the masses; it's for a select market.

Someone was asking about a custom base plate that could be made for a pretty low cost, this one was intended for a single four barrel application such as a Holley 850 on a Crate Hemi single four intake, a similar one could be fabbed up to use various dual four setups. This one is made from a low cost parts store air cleaner base and an 1/8" thick aluminum plate, the space between the throat of the plate underlapping the black aluminum plate can be adjusted by adding simple spacers to get the bubble hieght optimized. This was built by a friend who posted the pic on another Mopar site, I did not build it nor do I sell them.

Well I can tell you this much, if I were selling a new product and it had something special to show in terms of (factory correct) detail, I'd be posting close ups all over the internet.

Makes you wonder doesn't it?

I would put the Shaker on and "ruin" my '73 Cuda , just because I like the look of the Shaker! I would not get rid of the origonal power bulge hood that came with the car, but I would definitly buy one ! Especially if the price for the complete unit was around $1000.oo or so.
