Lower control arms

Anyone have a secret to getting the torsion bar bushings out/in of the lower control arms without using a press?

Air hammer and a vise ?  The right way is the press though

Removed my OE's steel inner metal sleeve with hammer &  socket, + penetrating oil & the rubber with a razor sharp exacto knife. I left the outer shell to use Poly bushing but to replace with new metal the old shell is removed with hammer & chisel per the service manual
