Sad find today, 70 Barracuda for sale
« on: March 25, 2007 - 03:16:29 PM »
Saw this car yesterday on the way to Des Moines for the weekend. About 15 miles from my house. Makes ya sick, doesn't it. I assume it's a Barracuda, not a 'cuda since it was originally a 318 car. But it's still a 70. The guy wants $1000.00, no title. Nobody was there today when I stopped to look at it on the way home. Maybe he would take less, but it needs a TON of work and money. If anybody is interested I could help them get in touch with the owner. Dave

CUT IT UP??.... :nono: Take a good look at it before deciding to cut anything looking like that up....There are still far worse cars out there to cut up or to take parts from to bring a car like this one back from the brink of crushzaster! JMO

Thanks Dave!!!  :worshippy

Patiently waiting

Oh yeah sorry guys I should be more clear about my intentions I am looking for a new Pro touring project so the floors and frame rails ETC are not important to me at all really as it will mostly be replaced with a tubular back half and new front clip! It's either a Cuda or another 69 camaro so we'll see what happens! Although I guess that car will need 1/4's, tail panel etc I gather I will have some $$$ to play with...... You'll have to forgive me I am new to this whole Mopar thing.......(my user name would have given that away! LOL)

Dave my direct email address is jet26l@hotmail.com  :2thumbs:

Cheers

Cut up a 69 Camaro....the Cuda's are a far better value in the stock condition. Besides, IMO, there are many more Camaros out there than Cudas. JMO!

I say build a pro-touring 'cuda.
That way the car is going to be driven, instead of cut up or crushed.

I sure would like to know what the fender tag or buildsheet says.  I am always looking for an M46 code on any 1970 and only 1970.  I would bring half of a car back to life if it had that option.   Not to mention drive to the ends of the USA to retrieve it.
