it looks like the Charger is "DEATH PROOF" - so maybe it doesnt get destroyed, we hope.

at least they know what kind of car to star in a movie like this!

Don't think the white Challenger was so lucky though.

I dunno about that....if you look real careful at the car that does the roll over after the rear approach from the Charger, it looks like a pale green 4 door with a white roof?  :dunno:

I hope it wasn't the death of any Chargers or Challengers...  :crying:

I think that's two scenes spliced together.  Most trailers are so cut up it's hard to see anything. Even so, I don't believe any of the cars make it out alive!!!  (Hope the Nova gets it first)  :eek4:

For a long time now, I have wanted to start some kind of orginization whose goal would be to eliminate Hollywood from being able wreck anymore classic cars. I don't know if there is anything we could actually do, but it has always made me cringe to see any old car get trashed in these movies. What do you think?

Maybe they should have something similar to the animal protection statement at the end of the film.

I personally don't care to see cool old cars trashed in moveis, but the only way to really stop the carnage is for the prices of the classics to become unappealing to producers.

Think about it, movies are made on budgets. As a producer, are you going to trash a $20k Charger or a $250k exotic? Antagonists and protagonists need to have cool wheels. It may not be in the budget, nor the story line, to have them driving Ferraris and Porsches so they do the next best thing, pick up restored to semi-restored muscle era cars.  To them they are a disposable commodity.
