The Goat had a taste for rice
« on: March 27, 2007 - 02:38:20 AM »
This isn't a mopar kill story or a long race, but it was fun regardless. Last year, my buddy and I had picked up a 68 GTO for resale about  2 hours away from where we live. It was in need of a restoration, but aside from the right front fender and passenger door that needed replacing ( owner slid into a guardrail in the snow), it wasn't a bad looking car. It was jacked up a little and had a decent running 400. Well, we didn't have a trailer so I drove the thing home while my buddy followed. We were on the highway, almost home when I hear that telltale annoying exhaust sound come up beside me in the left lane. I don't look over at first, but then I see in my peripheral the car lurching back and forth beside me wanting to go. I look over and its some kind of import; typical lowered, wing and such. I smiled and punched it. I left him behind and he wasn't anywhere near catching up. After about 10 seconds, I let off it and he went flying by me tooting his horn in admiration.
