Finally have my garage straightened up enough to get to the Challey....literally...
Got the motor back on song last week with Moparal's TQ, just needed some float & accelerator pump adjustments..

With nothing else easy to do & nice cool weather yesterday I started stripping the old primer & surface rust using a DA...might need to blast a few rough spots... Had to stop when my DA pad busted on me...Picked up a replacement at Tractor Supply

Today got back to stripping her down but got tired of that so I started messing with what I thought would be the worst of the bodywork other than welding in the RR quarter patch. The wheel arch had a 6" tall dent from an accident long ago that was quite a challenge to figure out as the inner & outer finder meet leaving very little room that the damage reduced to about the thickness of a flat blade screwdriver. (wish I had a before shot). Anyway two or so hours of fiddling with different implements of destruction the final being a 1.5" wood chisel on the back side & putting a hammer, from my newly acquired body tools, to work I have this....

More damage from the same accident, the worst part being the edge was pushed in...again implements of destruction & working with the hammer & dolly, I'm not yet finished

Next, the replacment door that has a small dent.... you'll never guess where.

Ok David, thanks for your interest.

Worked on the door dent which is right over the door beam, all but impossible to get to. About 2 hours of messing around I lucked out & found that a large allen wrench positioned just right would catch the beam & I could push out & get a little bump.... a few dozen bumps & I had the body line back, after that most of what I did had to be hammered back. Changed to a smaller allen wrench to get a little lower. Things are better than they look as the lowest spot is .018 from being flush.

A little more work on the quarter but it seems that there come a point that you are bending out more than you should, again within a few hundredths of flush.... Guess a little filler will be no sin.

Does blowing money count?.....he he.....little stereo equipment to add to my to-do list

Not crazy about the big chrome knob but the unit otherwise will blend pretty well....I can always paint the knob

new sub vs my test mule that sounded ok

Also had $60 "reward" bucks at the AutoZone. I just found out you have to spend within 6-months or you loose, (wonder how much I lost) I had nothing that I really needed so I got what I knew I would need someday.

What do I do in my spare time when I'm not working on the car, hanging out on C-C.Com or satisfying the wife
  not necessarily in that order
