Great job on the bodywork.  I like the stereo stuff too, did you end up getting the 2.0 farad cap?  I've been worried with my small 1/2 farad cap since it discharges itself quickly when the battery is disconnected from it, wonder if it is bad.

Anyways, keep up the great work on that bad boy and you'll be driving soon enough. :2thumbs:

Yep got the 2.0F....small garbage can... Twas cheeper than most 1.0F units...mine discharges if the battery is down as well.  I been thinking about making a perminent circut that I can push a button & recharge as this is a PITA to deal with otherwise.

Hey Wade.  Looks like there will be a lot of noise on the inside......Good stuff.  When will we hear some noise from the power plant?   Like the dogs too.

Thanks, I am mostly concerned since when I re-connect the battery there is usually a good spark jumping to the terminal to feed the cap.  If I pull the fuse for the cap then when I put the fuse in same thing at the fuse.

I'll try and look into this a bit.

WADE...............That was wonderful.  I got a good feeling when she fired.  Sounds good too and the music...........playing in the background.......nice touch.  Thanks.   We need to hear from more of our members like this.   I started a thread somewhere here a few months ago but not too many takers.   Anyway......great.   And I know you can't sait to get her on the road.   Looking forward to seeing that too.    David :cooldancing: :cooldancing:

I know some of you are interested in factory markings so I'm posting these for you & posterity. This is from a '73 Dodge Challenger Ralley 340. Gears are open 3:55 ratio springs are 4-leaf


White paint dobs & the # 31 appears to be white
Also notice the Black anodized pinion snubber bolts, the snubber plate shows silver, not paint but natural.



Dark blue, I'm guessing thread lock, on the studs



Black paint on the hanger



# on the front passenger side ....can't make out the 1st digit  _ 0 1 4


# on the front divers side, upside down & underlined light blue or turquoise , cant make out the 1st digit _ 1 2 J



# on forward divers side spring yellow  last digit obscured  5 9 _



# on rear drivers side spring yellow 1 2 4  and I think the last character is "



Center is a yellow circle with J sideways  on the drivers side a stenceled white R



I cant make out the character but another circle in white may be a G or 6

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Hey Wade....the exhaust is from a local shop here .  I think they are stainless. He supplied the mufflers too and they are supposed to be like Flowmasters.  The tips aren't exactly split likt the orig but for $30 each instead of $125 or so..........I took them............Are you going to mark your parts like the orig when going back together??   If so........many more pics are probably in order.......Good luck..........David
