Looks great Wade.  Do you have a time frame for getting her on the road? :burnout:

Yea, Summer of '07...  :roflsmiley:

When I started working on her in the fall of '06 I was thinking by July '07 I'd drive to my 30-yr HS reunion...Maye by the 35th.
I blame C-C for half the delay.. lotta mental motivation, no physical.  I'll work when I feel like it but not going to press or set any agenda.

Wade,

Carlisle 2010. You can follow Alan up. How's that for a stick in the butt motivation?     :poopoke:

Remember when the book 1987 seemed like the distant future...Then 2000 was not even on our minds.    Wonder what Carlisle 2073 will be like...My car would be 100.  There that's my goal.

Well the Sunny South took a turn for the worse for the past couple of weeks so I had to find something that I could work on inside..

                   Thermoquad-a-La-Madman

So Monday evening I went down to the Ram Cave to install & check out my work, set up for video & all, but to no avail, managed to flood the 340, possibly leaks from the one removed...Tues. AM I go out to try it and she fired right up but alas I had not bothered to set up for video..  Tues night we were almost flooded for real, I was at the Cave at 11PM jacking the Challey up just in case but The Mighty Aldridge stayed in his banks .
So today was the day, 3PM it's about 36 Degrees outside. This is as straight off the bench, aka dining table.

Nice looking re build Wade.

You did so good maybe we need a freeze spell for a few months longer to see what else you can whip up.

That might be enough motivation for me to caravan up there with those two Alabamians.....     :cooldancing:

Besides cleaning soaking in Vinegar water & scrubbing with a good degreaser  the shine comes from a soft wire wheel...The aluminum is already turned a bit since the photo.

So the low last night was suppose to be around 20 & the Challey doesn't have a drop of Antifreeze due to a block cleaning program I started a while back. I'm determined to move her up to the house garage for safe keeping. I had dialed in the carb as best I could by about 5PM & continued to prep for the move for the rest of the evening, Southern Boy don't work so swiftly when it's below 40 out.  Here we are finally at 10:30 last night, it's 27 out.  No warm up remind you.

Along with The Beast we could create a fuel shortage.. Would be sweet but I'm more than a year off being road worthy.
