I really like the AAR hoods but IMO I think some Camaros took some styling cues from it.  :poopoke:

Even if it isn't just a Camaro hood thing anymore just seeing it makes me think of Chevy right off the bat when I saw the picture.  :eek4:
But if you like it, thats all that matters.

I think in the car design game putting one big ole tear shapped duct in the front is fairly obvious but Mopar did it first.  The Vette one is different 'cause it's supposed to look like a stingray tail but the late RR kamereos are just too close to the AAR..

Doesn't matter though. That Challenger T/A hood is too cool and nothing looks like that!!!

(The bonus is the T/A hood actually scoops cold air)

That's just a basic naca duct design from the aeronautics industry.

That makes sense! I always thought the naca style duct was like you found on Porsche 924/944 turbo cars but now that you mention it, it does look like a naca style duct.

For some reason, that AAR above looked like a convertible for a second. Has anyone seen a 70 CUda done as an AAR convertible? That would be slick.

but the late RR kamereos are just too close to the AAR..

Why would you put a cowl hood on a 'Cuda when you have three great hoods to choose from?  An AAR hood, a ralley hood, and a shaker hood.

A cowl hood like what was in the first picture in this thread only belongs on a first generation Camaro.  I have that hood on my 67.  The late model Camaro SS hood does not resemble the AAR hood in my honest opinion.    360cuda, it wouldn't kill you to spell Camaro correctly, would it?
