e-body buddy seat...will it fit w/a four-speed hump?
« on: March 29, 2007 - 02:40:30 AM »
Saw this on the bag, and it got me thinking...

It'd be kind of cool if you can get it to work w/a four speed hump.

Granted, that would defeat the purpose somewhat of a third person sitting there, but I don't plan on using a console w/the stick shift, but for that occasional time, the woman wants to snuggle...why not?

Someone put a Bench seat in my Challenger before I purchased it. I removed it as buckets are cooler (IMO) and it was a pain in the backside to drive. Every corner you take you slip and slid with the car, buckets offer better support although they are similarly shaped there is a difference from the seat of the pants feel, definitely.

A B-Body pistol grip would have no worries filling the space on the floor, one would imagine measurements for the exact location of the shifter won't be hard to get. I do agree, for getting "to know" your lady friend the bench seat is the way to go.....  :2cents:

NZ,

That bench seat looks cool.  I'd love to have one in my RoadRuster.  Hope you no longer have it,  shipping would have to be a bear !

Yeah, it was in good condition too. I sold it for $250 to some Mopar guy who was going to make a garage seat out of it. Sucks I know but I had it on for sale (supply and demand) for $450 for a-g-e-s down here and no bites, not even at $300, so I took what I could and sold it....taking up far too much room, wasn't correct for my car and I was never going to use it again.

Bench seats can be cool somewhat, but if you look closely, what I'm talking about is not a bench seat, but a mini "buddy" seat that bolts in between factory (or aftermarket) bucket seats.

Fold down armrest would be a nice plus too.

:sly: Bloody hell, right-you-are mate, right you are. :lol2: I didn't even notice, would have sworn it was a bench seat. Well that's the comfort taken care of! I'm 24 and I need my eyes checked............  :-\
