NE1 else tired of seeing `71 hemi clones?
« on: March 29, 2007 - 05:36:05 PM »
Not to bash anyones clone but seeing all these `71 Hemi `cudas got me thinking-are we getting as bad as the chevvy crowd with `69 Z/28s.You know the old joke about having 50,000 more `69 Z/28s now than were produced at the factory back in `69.It just used to be a rare sight to see a real `70 or `71 Hemicuda and now they seem like they are everywhere.   :dunno:

i haven't seen a Cuda moving in front of me in over a year where I live. rarer than dinosaur poop. there might be a lot, but none here.

Only way I see another E-body is if I go to a car show, and most times not even then. Scarcer than hen's teeth around here.

I guess it's just that lately the '71 Hemi Cudas have been getting all the press, especailly Barrette-jackson not being that long ago when all the big $$$ was changing hands.

I haven't seen any e-bodies, let alone '71 'Cudas, in my area for a few years and that other one has now since been sold.

Only at car shows I'll see them but it's like seeing an animal at a zoo vs in it's natural habitat.  Nothing like seeing either in the environment that it meant to be in.

An E-body is an E-body to me, can't get enough of them.  It is rare to see any of them in my area unless there is a car show going on.  I like the Hot Rod Power Tour because you see all kinds of classics on the road and being driven hard.   :2thumbs:

I live in SoCal, spend a lot of time on the road and this past year, I have seen 1 E-body (not counting shows) blasting down the 60 Fwy.  I got all excited. :bananasmi  He must have been driving back from a show....

At B/J, you couldn't walk 50 feet without running across one.

I counted a 1/2 dozen at the John Force holiday show.

When I am home , I think I have seen maybe two other Cudas on the road in the past ten years aside from car shows. The first one was a cool meeting when I had my first Cuda. I was driving down a hill towards an underpass and on the opposite side of the road, here comes another E bod on the entry ramp to the road. We both waved and honked. It was cool.

:woohoo: e bodies  are the BEST! cant ever see enough of them, mostly at car shows, but as long as they DRIVE there i am a big fan. the lack of e bodies at cruises and shows is what fuels(supercharges) my desire to build and enjoy them! i really enjoy talking with owners who do most of the resto themselves, and realize the dedication and passion put into these great machines. when you build one yourself, you can over look the minor flaws that are seen at local events by the concours judgeing conducted by john q public. 71 hemi clone? if i could afford it i would do one up also!
74 cuda,az car. built 383,727 manual shift,reverse pattern.8th cuda project,cant get enough!

I don`t see too many on the road either, people need to drive `em more!At local car shows there are few in the area but I guess it`s more the major shows, internet and places like B-J where they show up the most.
