I like those a lot, but I forgot to mention that I have 2 1/4" pipes, would that be a problem with those tips?
I will look in the catalog again Monday morning and see if they have the same thing in a 2 1/4" inlet.

Nope, they only come in 2 1/2 but I am sure they can be made to work some how.

Thanks for checking.  Let me do a little more searching, but I might end up just getting those and make them fit.

Would you clamp them on or weld them?

I am not the best welder.  How hard would it be to weld the stainless tips to aluminized pipes?

You definitely need a wire feed welder.

my car had a mild restoration done in the early 90's when parts where scarce and e-bay was young....

I was told by a muffler shop my tips are a pair of Chevy Chevelle? tips weilded together.....one has exhaust running thru it and the other does not........fairly cheap tips at any muffler shop could get.....looks pretty close.

I will go back to orig tips someday when I redo whole ex system...

I cannot verify this, but maybe a set of Buick Riviera tips would work.  They're the rectangular ones with a nicely rolled edge.  I think Pontiac uses something similar on the Grand Prix. :dunno:

Hey tactransman,

The tips you mentioned to me (577449), are you sure they are squared?  I was looking at a different picture and they looked kind of rounded.

I did find that 577484 looks a little more like the ones I saw on the truck.  The only thing I am worried about is that  they are 8" wide (instead of 6").

Do you sell this tip?

Can't tell ya if the 449 is rounded,if it is I wouldn't think it would be enough to look bad.
Yes I can get the 577484 also, same price as the 449.

You want the 8 inch wide tip.  That is the one I am using.  Here is a pic with the factory tip on top of it for comparison.
