Found this under the seat
« on: March 31, 2007 - 11:14:18 AM »
Found this under the passenger seat while working on my frozen seat track problem.  Surprised I didn't notice it when I had the seats recovered few yrs back.

Any ideas what the numbers mean, pic is hard to see, it is made out of pressed paper?

That is the part number tag for the seat frame.

3029 is the date code, 302nd day of 1969 (1970 model year)

The five digit number is likely the vendor code for the company that supplied the frame to Chrysler.

Thx, I appreciate the help.

Is this of any use to anyone, I'm just going to throw it out.  My car is far from original and I don't need it.

Katfish, I dont know if I'd toss it. It is original to the seat. Someone down the line may want your original 70 seat with that tag .   Seems worthless to you, but might be needed in correct form somewhere else...Just a thought. It doesnt hurt to put it back on where it was

I would hold onto it. Just pack it away. Someday you will be glad you did. Or for that matter just hook it back on the seat. Anything that came with your mopar if you have kept it original or not is a piece of the history of that car don't give it up.
