Pic request- L60's on the back
« on: April 01, 2007 - 07:34:07 AM »
Just wondering if anybody's got some pics of L60's on the rear of a chally.  Cuda is fine too.  Thanks

If you go to my web site, the last picture, in the pictures section, shows the car as I bought it in 1978. L60x15, air shocks, rolled up wheel lips and all!

Man that looks cool.  The stance is great, especially in black.

A rear quarter shot is really what I want, just to see how much meat it looks like is in the back.

How did it ride, any rougher than before?  I kind of want the same setup, and a similar stance

My buddy Dave's 72 'cuda...pics from late seventies. I recall it threw at least three driveshafts :working:

Yeah, the Hot Wheels look.  Mine rode awful, and like I said the guy rolled up the whell lips so the wouldn't rub. I couldn't wait to get them off.
It is currently in the middle of a resto, but I am going to go with 275/60R15 on the back when it is done.

It looks good, maybe too much meat for an ebody.  Ive seen em on b's, they dont looks so huge.

Mine rode awful,...           ... I couldn't wait to get them off.

:roflsmiley:  Thats what I was afraid of.  Im not sure what I want to do yet, just looking to see what I like best

Will they rub or are you using air shocks? I plan on 235/60R15 on the front and 275/60R15 on the back mounted on Chrome Magnum 500 wheels, 15x7 for the front and 15x8 in the rear.

Carl, are you using air-shocks in the back?

Carl, that looks great too.

Now I'm gonna need new rims, stash those 14's away.   :misbehaving:

15x7 on front, 15x 8 on rear seems to be the size of choice.

Im with Rusty, are you using air shocks?  Hows the ride quality? :dunno:

Thanks mate. Everything is factory except I'm using Edelbrock IAS performer shocks. Great shock. Super stiff, when I push down on the trunk area the car will only move down about  1" yet the ride quality is that of a 1990s mini van comfort wise. Seems to hook up, well, I've had no trouble hooking and it's easy to just floor it and get them too light up from a rolling or complete stop. The 'Cuda will have the same once complete.

Thanks again Carl, good info

4 new rims = $600
4 new tires = $400
440/426 rear leafs = $200

I think I'll stop there   :bricks1:
