where to buy 22" radiator
« on: April 01, 2007 - 09:26:45 AM »
Does anyone know where I can get a 22" 3 core radiator for my 70 challenger (440)?  I've seen lots of 26" units, or 22" for small blocks, but noone seems to have the big block radiator.  If not, how bad does a 26" modification look on a 22" car?

Thanks

I have a 22" radiator big block car and what I did was buy a 3 row 22 inch B-body radiator (think it was a roadrunner). The only problem is that the outlet was on the wrong side, so I took it to a radiator repair shop and had them move the outlet to the drivers side. Its works great and the modification cant be seen as its on the bottom. To correctly convert your radiator opening to a 26", you will have to buy the support and weld it in. The support is sold at beaparts.com

thanks!  I think I may go the mancini route.  It's kinda pricey, though.  Oh well, my wife is on vacation, she won't find out;).
