ITS ALIVE!!!
« on: April 01, 2007 - 07:40:29 PM »
Fired up the 440 tonight! runs good but the rear side freeze plugs leak antifreeze.  Anyone got a trick to taking them out and putting them back in while the motor is in the car?

Someone just described a method on how he got out freeze plugs out in the rear. He dremeled a slot in it and pried it out then was gonna do magic to install the new ones or use the rubber expansion plugs that just tighten up with a wrench. I did this on a Ford Ranger behind the exhaust manifolds and it worked out perfectly, I'd do it that way again (expansion plugs came from Kragen).
