The Cheetah oneis kinda cool. But I think it should be more of a bada$$ looking Cheetah. That on just makes me hungry.

Personally, I never did like Cheetohs, but have seen some women with those spray on tans that looked like they fell into a bag of them.

Maybe we should have a poll to see if we should have a poll to see how long we run the poll?  :dunno:  :roflsmiley:  :smilielol:

Definetly like the wasp idea, but think the head/face should be less bug like and a little more of a characature, similar to but not exactly like the Rumble Bee.

We would be making too much of an assumption to think that just because someone voted for one challenger man, he/she wouldn't care what challenger man they got. If you read the conversation that lead up to this poll, you will find that there is one individual that liked Mr. Challenger, but would be totally against his vote counting toward either Challenger Men. The argument can also be made that Mr. Challenger/Challenger Man already has an unfair advantage. Since there is three variations of this same image he has a much better chance of winning.

I would dispute that fact. What it is, fundamentally, that people are voting for is the image of the person, wearing a purple jacket and sunglasses, holding on to a pistol grip shifter. The thing that is causing the split of the vote are the words that surrounding him. Fundamentally, everyone who is voting for any of the Challenger Men/Mr. Challenger are voting for that picture, as well as the words they like with it. Now, we can worry about details such as name, words, etc. after the fact. The fundamental portion of any marketing campagin/slogan is the image you want project - the catch phrase comes afterwards.

And as for saying that because that are three variations he has a better chance of winning, that is absolutely untrue. In fact, he has a worse chance of winning because he is splitting the vote. Lets count all those votes together as just for the picture itself, and worry about hashing out the details around it afterwards.

Go Mr. Challenger Man!

I copied this directly from the original Challenger Mascot conversation -

("Challenger Man" name is lame. I'll only be voting for him if it's Mr Challenger or similar.
"Challenger Man" sounds like some lame Hollywood superhero....."Dun, dun, dun, dunnnnn, is it a bird....  Roll Eyes).

I don't think that there should be any doubt in anybodys mind that this individual would not want his vote counted toward Challenger Man. In addition, If anybody would like to remove their vote and reapply it to one Challenger Man everybody agrees on they can do so.

I see your point, although I think most folks are voting for the ONE Chally man they like the best.  Better chance or worse chance, who knows?  But I think if we follow the count em all as one vote logic, then we should make 3 wasps and 3 cheetahs and so on and then count all votes as one for each nominee.  The whole point to this poll is to narrow the field of potential mascots down to only a couple and then fine tune those and eventually get down to one. It's as much about eliminating the weaker ones as it is about picking "The One".

Good Point - It is too early in the voting to really worry about this anyway. I was hoping to get around 100 votes before we stop the poll. Does anyone think that 100 is a little high ??? I know how many members we have and to think that 100 of them care enough to register their vote doesn't seem that out of line.

I would suggest either a minimum number of votes, (whatever you decide) or an end date.  Which ever comes first.  I personally wouldn't drag it out much more than a week or so.....     :2cents:    :cooldancing:

Okay, You may have already noticed that I have decided to take the decision of whether we combine the Mr. Challenger/Man votes to the Masses. There is another poll out there to solve this once and for all. Let the people speak. There is definately one vote that we will not add in and thats the one vote for Mr. Challenger.

And we all know who cast that ballot...... hope he does not feel disenfranchised.  :walkaway:

Voting is still too close, we need one to break away from the pack.

Never would I have imagined that the voting would be this close. Although, we have some fantastic candidates. None stands above the other.
